The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood

Danny, the youngest of the Cooper children, always got the short stick when it came to playing with his brothers. They’d be riding their bikes while he had to scoot along on a decrepit pair of rollerskates. They’d play monkey in the middle, and he was always the monkey. It came as no surprise to him when they began to play on the swing set and ridiculed him until he left to go dig in the dirt. As he walked away, he slipped the socket wrench into his pocket, and thought to himself, “I bet they won’t be laughing so hard when that ol’ thing falls down on their stupid heads…..”
